Cafe-Restaurant Alter Markt in Euskirchen

Discovered by chance on Google Maps while walking today. When we were on the way back we stopped there for coffee and cake before we finally went home. We opted for two pieces of apple crumble cake and two jugs of coffee. Cake was very good, above all it tasted fresh and juicy + extra praise because there were no raisins in the cake. Coffee tasted like black filter coffee tastes, very good. (One pot is enough for two people, that makes about 2.5 cups) A big plus, there were homemade cookies that were already packaged for little money. Service was also very good, friendly and accommodating. We deduct one star because the disinfectant smelled so unpleasant. (Sorry) As a tip, maybe: music in the background would be nice, you don't feel uncomfortable when you talk at the table and the neighboring tables are so quiet and can therefore overhear. All in all a great find for a cozy coffee before, after or during an excursion. Always my pleasure. Greetings Nika and Dennis

If anyone is in the area, they must enter. Just note that the woman who works there is already older so the place is not always open. The food there is mediocre but the atmosphere and beauty of the place surpasses all!

Very nice location - therefore three stars. The garden was originally nicely laid out, but has now become a bit overgrown. Unfortunately, the waitress was pretty disinterested. The work jacket of the waiter / cook (?) Was stained, the tablecloths also rather dirty. The cake was ok. The addresses (regarding Corona) had to be written in a small exercise book. You could see all previous addresses (data protection?!?). It's a shame that a cafe / restaurant is no longer being made in this wonderful location!

Resolute service and delicious cakes.

In Schnakenbek there is generally not too much going on, it is rather a small place, was our first impression ;-) But what there is is a nice café / restaurant with a huge garden, comfortably furnished and with a view of the Elbe. We were only there for a coffee and therefore cannot judge the food. But it is impressive just because of the great location and we were served friendly. Around the house there is beautiful nature, walking paths, forest ...

Great cakes, the food looks delicious too. Very idyllic location with a wonderful view over the Elbe. Also comfortably furnished inside.

The service is very friendly, the view is very nice and the cakes and cakes are really, really delicious.

You can linger well with a view of the Elbe very natural the garden which is a certain charm. We will be back!!

If you hike from Geesthacht to Lauenburg, a stop at the Café Sandkrug is a must. I love it.

Cake good, service staff unfortunately seemed a bit overwhelmed. Ambulances had to be called for a guest - would have expected more commitment and help from the staff here - after all, it was their guest.

Be sure to try the farmers breakfast. Delicious !

Delicious cakes. Decor with antique furniture and a great view of the Elbe. In summer you can sit outside in the beautiful garden.

Top location high above the Elbe, very nice facility and friendly service. There are also homemade cakes and pies, as well as biscuits and jam.

Nice view good for a runner after walking, nice staff all good. Directions via maps was a bit strange, wanted to cross the forest.

We were there in early April. Unfortunately, nature wasn't ready yet. But the place is super quaint and cozy. The service and the kitchen are warm, extremely friendly. I will gladly come again.

Classic restaurant. Delicious and a lot. Just the right thing during a short walk.
